DELIVERY

We offer the following delivery rates:

ORDERS WITHIN AUSTRALIA

The Child Hood offers free shipping for all orders over $100 and a flat rate of $8.95 for all orders under $100 (Order total is after any applied discounts). Registered post generally takes between 2-7 days for delivery.

We also offer Express Post for a flat rate of $10.95. Express post means generally next day delivery after item is shipped, and we do our best to ensure you receive your item by the next day; however, we can’t avoid unforeseeable circumstances (unfortunately!). Express post generally takes between 2-3 days for delivery.

Delivery times are an estimate and are according to the Australia Post network. In Australia, please add 1-3 business days for delivery to Western Australia. Delivery times may vary between regional and metro areas.

 

ORDERS FROM NEW ZEALAND

The Child Hood ships to New Zealand for a flat rate of AUD$15 for all orders under $200, with shipping via Registered post. Estimated delivery time is 6+ business days.

We also offer express shipping to New Zealand for AUD$30 with the estimated delivery time of 2-4 business days.

For orders over $200, shipping to New Zealand is free via registered post. Estimated delivery time is 6+ business days.

 

INTERNATIONAL ORDERS

For the United States, Canada, Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong and China, we offer registered shipping for AUD25. Estimated delivery time is between 3 and 10 days.

The Child Hood offers a flat rate International shipping rate of AUD30 and is sent via Registered Post. Estimated delivery time is between 3 and 10 days.

We now offer free shipping to the United States, Canada, Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong and China for all orders over $300 (order total is after any applied discounts). For all other US orders, shipping is the standard international shipping rate of AUD30.

International shipments are dispatched via Australia Registered International Post and Australia Express International Post - please contact us for more information if you have any concerns. 

 

 

For all orders, The Child Hood will inform you once your item has shipped. Once The Child Hood has delivered the merchandise to the carrier, you will assume the risk of loss and title for the merchandise. You are responsible for any additional taxes and duties. The Child Hood is not responsible for any fees charged by customs. If you decide to refuse any shipments from The Child Hood, you are responsible for the original shipping charges to you, any duties, taxes and/or customs charges that are incurred on the package (on both the original and return shipments), and the cost of returning the package to The Child Hood. This amount will be subtracted from your merchandise refund.

 

You will be sent a shipping confirmation which will include your tracking number. Please go to http://auspost.com.au/track/ to follow the journey of your parcel.

ORDER PROCESSING

We will dispatch orders within 2 business days from the date that we receive your order and credit verification has been confirmed. Transit times do not include Saturday, Sunday or holidays.


 

RETURNS & EXCHANGES

The Child Hood understands that purchasing an item of clothing over the Internet can sometimes be tricky, which is why we offer returns/exchanges on any items (except items which are marked as “Final Sale”). To be able to exchange or obtain a refund, the item must be in its original condition (i.e. unworn and unwashed) with the tags still on. You must contact The Child Hood within 7 days of receiving the item. Please follow the following steps with regards to returns or exchanges.

  1. Contact The Child Hood within 7 days of receipt of item on info@thechildhood.com.au informing us of the item to be returned/exchanged, including the item style number
  2. Send the item back to The Child Hood. We recommend that you return your item via registered post as The Child Hood does not take any responsibility for any lost or damaged items. If you are exchanging your item for another item, please inform The Child Hood prior to sending your item back so we can check the availability of your requested item.
  3. Once The Child Hood receives your item, we will either credit you for the total value (excluding shipping except for faulty items), send to you an item in exchange, or we will send through to you a credit note that can be redeemed for any other item in stock.

Note: The Child Hood reserves the right to refuse or reject returns or exchanges where the correct procedure as outlined above has not been followed.


The cost of return shipping is not covered by The Child Hood and remains the customer’s responsibility, unless the product is faulty or the return is due to an error by The Child Hood. For this reason, we do our best to ensure product descriptions are kept up-to-date and as accurate as possible, and our friendly customer service team is always happy to help with any questions prior to purchase.
Orders that fail to meet the minimum shipping spend after a change of mind return is granted will incur an $8.95 fee for Australian orders or $14.95 for international orders, for the cost of shipping and handling the original order. This will be deducted from your refund or store credit.

PRICING

All prices are in Australian Dollars (AUD) and The Child Hood reserves the right to change pricing at our discretion without notice.
